PBS - "The Road to the Revolution" Game This game quizzes students on facts from the Revolutionary War. It allows students multiple tries and provides an interactive map as they follow the timeline of the battles. Brain Pop - The French and Indian War Video This Brain Pop video is informative for students to gain more information on the French and Indian War. Other Revolution videos can be accessed as well. Flocabulary - "The American Revolution" Rap This is a fun interactive rap that allows students to apply what they learned in the Revolutionary War unit to an interactive song. American Revolution Interactive Timeline - This website is the same as the iPad app listed above and an interactive way for students to look at a timeline of important places and events in the American Revolution. Interactive Battles Map - This map allows students to click on each city and battle in order of how they happened and read about each battle. Cultural Arts - "Washington Crossing the Delaware" This is an interactive website from the Metropolitan Museum that teaching children about the types of arts elements used in the famous depiction of George Washington. Early America Timeline - This timeline gives information around the early settlements of America. Current Events - "The Plan to Fight ISIS" This Time for Kids article discusses the problem with ISIS, what it is, and how it will affect the United States. ISIS Pictures - This website shows pictures of families uprooted as a result of the ISIS war CBS Article - This article describes how ISIS is affecting children in schools Schoolhouse Rock - This video is a catchy song for students to listen to a follow along in reference to Paul Revere's midnight ride and the Revolution battles |
